What is Life Coaching

Life Coaching is a process of identifying and removing obstacles in your life which prevent you from being what you want to be.

Do you ever feel as though your life is like one of those circus acts that needs you to keep dozens of plates spinning at the same time?

Or that you're starting out on a journey but unsure about exactly which route to take?

Life Coaching will not improve your athletic circus skills, but it will help you to identify your highest priorities, so that if a plate falls (and one probably will), it's an insignificant one.

Neither is Life Coaching about giving you a ready-made set of directions.  You must choose the route that best suits you personally.  But we will help you develop a framework for deciding the best course of action at each junction that you encounter.

That way, your life's journey can take you via the destinations that you really want to visit, rather than drifting without purpose or direction. 

The foundation of Life Coaching is identifying the things in life which are most important to you as an individual;  we refer to these as your Values.  We will work together to ensure that your lifestyle and goals complement these Values.

How is Life Coaching delivered?

After a 'Getting to Know you' session, where we work together to identify your needs, we'll establish a package that works best for you.  A coaching session will normally last between 45 and 60 minutes depending upon your requirements on the day.  The sessions are flexible and can take place face to face or over the telephone / web at a time to suit you.

Email support is provided throughout as required.

During your sessions, we will help you to identify:

  • Where you are now
  • Where you want to be
  • What is the best way for you to get there.

We will NOT:

  • Provide counselling or therapy of any sort
  • Tell you how to do things


  • Help you to identify achievable and realistic goals
  • Support you in developing your action plan to achieve these goals
  • Help you to identify ways of working around potential barriers that you may face
  • Support your progress throughout your journey
